ATTORNEY WEIDMAN AS PUBLISHED IN LAW BOOKS USED BY OTHER ATTORNEYS

There are a number of law book publications of mine that were sponsored by law journals and not by the bar associations. ( Information about the stuff I had published  as books and articles for local bar associations is available separately  by clicking "LAWYER WEIDMAN TEACHES ATTORNEYS AT BAR ASSOCIATIONS".)

Copies of my legal written publications are available for review at my office.   Some are available in law libraries.  I would be glad to meet in-person with you to discuss any publication of mine. The publications were done for prestige; I was not paid.

Some of the articles were:

Weidman, K., Structural and Chemical Explanations for the Unherniated but Disabling Intervertebral Disc Bulge, Insurance, Negligence and Compensation Section Journal, Vol. 23, No. 1, pps. 56-61, (June, 1994, New York State Bar Association, Albany, NY). This article is in a leading law journal distributed throughout New York, as well as the United States.  It is is an illustrated presentation of disc anatomy and of the difference between herniations and bulges. ( I actually did my own medical drawings of slipped discs in the neck and back.  The writing explains why bulging discs hurt. The settlement and jury verdict values of disc damage are also presented. There is an extensive analysis of the high court cases supporting the role of a chiropractor as an expert witness and defining the forensic scope of chiropractic testimony.

Weidman, K., The Legal and Medical Anatomy of Intervertebral Disc Injuries, New York Negligence Reporter, Vol. 3, No. 1, pps. 1-6, (Jan., 1992, Matthew Bender Pub. Co., a Times Mirror Books Affiliate). This article outlines basic anatomy of the intervertebral disc and urges the use of a chiropractor as part of a team of medical professionals as expert witnesses to prove injuries in accident cases using proper diagnostic tests.

Weidman, K., Meaningful Insurance Disclosure, Trial Lawyers Quarterly (TLQ), Vol. 22, No. 1, pps. 34-42, (Fall, 1991 N.Y.S. Trial Lawyers Institute, New York City). The TLQ is to trial lawyers what the Wall Street Journal is for financial experts. DON'T you hate insurance companies? They are Diablo or devil?  Well, this article is about how auto insurance companies lie ( imagine that!!) to avoid paying auto accident victims.

This article, GENERATED BY A NEW YORK CITY PROFESSIONAL lawyer's journal, outlines fraudulent conduct by insurance companies and their lawyers in attempts to mislead plaintiffs about proper amounts of liability insurance. It was re-published in 1998 at a lecture  in which I was asked to go to Manhattan and  teach other trial lawyers.  The novel ideas it presents represent work I did for 12 different clients of mine.

In these cases, I changed some New York laws to get better results for each one of my clients.  In each case  a judge agreed with me and wrote about the new laws. Over a decade later, lawyers still call me about the law. I still help them.

The meaning of some laws in the entire state of New York were changed directly as a result of my hard work.
